Mike Reid

Pennsylvania native, Mike Reid, is both a renowned football player and songwriter.  Named NCAA All-American for Penn State and All-Pro defensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals, Reid played football until 1975 when he decided to fully devote himself to music.  In 1980, he moved to Nashville and two years later was signed to Milsap’s publishing firm.  Reid tallied 30+ top ten country and pop hits, including “I Can’t Make You Love Me” (1991) “Inside” (1983), “Stranger in my House” (1983) and “Lost in the Fifties” (1986).  Reid recorded for a wide range of artists, notably Ronnie Milsap, Conway Twitty, Don Williams, Wynonna, and Tim McGraw.  He was awarded multiple awards during his career, including, ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year, Grammy award Best Country Song, and Country Song of the Year 1986.
