Marc Cohn

Marc Cohn was born in Cleveland, OH and began playing and writing music in junior high.  During college, he taught himself piano and played the Los Angeles coffeehouse scene.  In February 1991, he released his debut album, “Marc Cohn,” which included his hit song, “Walking in Memphis.”  This track was nominated for Song of the Year in 1992 and sat thirteenth on the Billboard Charts.  The same year, he was also awarded a Grammy for Best New Artist.  In addition to his 12 studio records, he also co-wrote with various artists, including Grammy award winner, William Bell, and the Blind Boys of Alabama.
